Linux , windows server performance

Hi all,
Our client is consider to combine his 3 Linux datastage server (two of them are "sus" and the third one is "red hat") to only one windows 2003(64 bit) server.
Do you know if there is a performance issue between Linux and windows servers?
I know that I need to change the OP commands. Is there any other issue that I have to handle with?

It's more about the hardware than the O/S IMHO and I don't see how going from three servers to one is going to get 'better' performance unless the new server is a beast.
