Does DataStage v.8.0.1 could extracting data from DB/400?

We have installed DB2 v.9.5.4 fp4, DB2 Connect, DataStage v.8.0.1, WAS v.6 on SUN Sparc machine using SUN OS.
Then we must extracting data from DB/400 on iSeries machine.
We have federated this DB/400 database into DB2 on SUN OS.
Our problem is we cannot extracting data source from DB/400 (that has been federated/remote into DB2) using DB2 UDB Enterprise stage.
Could someone help us?
Is it posibble DB2 UDB Enterprise stage extract data from DB/400?

It is not possibles with the DB2 Enterprise Stage, since the Enterprise Stage needs a DS runtime on the DB2 machine, which is not supported with this environment.

You need to utilize one of the other connection methods like DB2API or ODBC to access DB2 on AS/400.

Although we've federated the DB2/400 into our DB2 database on SUN Solaris and we can login and do some select statements via this DB2 command line, do we still can't using DB2 UDB Enterprise stage??

I meant I just using DB2 (on Sun machine) to become such a 'gateway' to DB2/400 (on iSeries machine) and connect to that DB2 via DB2 UDB Enterprise stage.
