'Unable to save editServ.impl.Jobdefnimpl@2db1e166

Post by Jyothee »

Hi,

I am using DataStage version 8.0. And my OS is windows XP. I am getting an issue like 'Unable to save editServ.impl.Jobdefnimpl@2db1e166 ' error when i am trying to save some of the parallel jobs.

Since morning i am unable to work.It used to work well before.

Can anyone please help me how to solve this? And what is the reason for it?

Thanks in Advance!!!!!

Is it just some jobs or all jobs that cannot be changed and saved? With V8 the repository has become more complex and your error seems to indicate problems in the repository. One could try a complete shutdown and restart of the IIS application to see if that might make a difference.

This maybe a problem with your xmeta running out of space. You can ask your DBA to investigate the xmeta db and resize it if it is having space problems.

Try Re-indexing.

Code: Select all

DS.REINDEX ALL
on your Datastage Administrator.

HTH.
Thanks,

DS.REINDEX will not help; it indexes the local repository, not the unified (XMETA) repository. Clearly the problem in in XMETA.
