Hi,

Iam new to Datastage.......

Can i know the diff. bet. Fixed length and variable length in sequential file....

if we r using fixed length what are the properties need to set to import a sequential file

There is a fixed-width option on the Format tab. Once this is selected you must provide a space- or comma-delimited list of field widths in the field provided for that purpose. Subsequently you can adjust the field widths if necessary, using the Display Width property in the table or column definition.
