Sequencer Job

Post by karthi_gana »

All,

How to understand a sequencer job? I have seen so many Sequencer jobs in my project.

Look at some of the jobs. The "stages" are few and straightforward. A sequencer job is the DataStage equivalent of a simple shell script or batch program.

[channelling Ray]

It's a Sequence job (no 'r') - a Sequencer is an object used in a Sequence job to join multiple flows into one.

There's also a decent discussion / tutorial in one of the Server job pdfs, from what I recall.

One of the Webinars earlier this year discussed Job Sequences, in particular processing multiple files with them.
