DataSatage Job Names Convention

Post by tatikramos »

Hello There,
What is the name convention for datastage jobs, i wanted to have jobs with the extension of the files that the job will process but it wont let me.
do you know if there is any way to workaround and name my jobs how i want or there is a constrain or limitation on the job names?
Thanks for your help :)

You can name jobs anything you like - as long as they start with a letter and contain only alphanumerics or underscores.

Each Job name must be unique within the Project, not category. I think I read that you can't name it ROOT either.
