Do we need to install c++ compiler

Hi,

We are doing a fresh installation of IBM Information server 8.0.1 on AIX machine. As we donot have datastage admin over here they asked me to install the software . Do we need to install C++ compiler before installing the suite?? As the datastage is server edition is it mandatory to install c++ compiler as pre-requisite software.

The Server edition does not require a C++ compiler be installed, that is only a requirement for the Enterprise / Parallel Extender edition.
