Error with ntdll.dll

Post by mousazzi »

Hi all. I'm working with Sequence with more then 15 server job. Everytime I modify a trigger value, application crashes and return the following error:
Application caused error dsdesign.exe, version 7.5.1.18, in the ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, error address 0x0003426f.
Can anyone help me to resolve this problem ?

Thank in advance.

No luck to answer you but support in some other way.

The same kind of moment happened to me many times. As,

When i tend to edit in the trigger values or other property in the job sequence which more than five Job Activities in count, the job Sequence with Designer gets closed with no error messages. This happens many a times in the development in DataStage.

Why it happens often? What is the reason behind?

I am in search of answers from you all here.

mousazzi - does this happen at other PCs with the client installed or just on your PC? Do you have any patches installed from IBM? (There is a general patch available from your support provider which addresses a number of client issues, but I don't know if it applies to your current problem).

Yes, it appens to all pc (4 in this moment) with different OS's (XP Pro, Server, Vista, ...); which is the patch you're talking about ? I didn't see anything on the IBM web site and our sellers didn't propose us nothing.

That one is specific to XP's Service Pack 2 and not being able to open stages. There is yet another patch to address Designer crashing in Sequence jobs.

The SP2 patch? If so, that's not the one you need.

Ask your official Support provider about it. If I can find the eCase number for it I'll post it later.
