Post by dannywcw »

Hi,

I need to shutdown my DataStage but hit the following prolem
dsadm@cel059:/data1/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine>netstat -a | grep ds
cel059.dsrpc 10.10.81.154.2001 65535 0 49640 0 CLOSE_WAIT
cel059.dsrpc 10.10.81.154.1191 65451 0 49640 0 CLOSE_WAIT
3000616dac8 stream-ord 30009233208 00000000 /var/opt/SUNWcst/files/.udsock
dsadm@cel059:/data1/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine>

Please advice. I've login to bin/uvsh and do a list.readu every and not output was return.

Please advice on how to kill the above sessions. Thank you.

Have you actually shutdown DataStage yet? If you have and the ports are still hung, involve an SA to get them cleared. Otherwise it needs to come down first and then work to clean up what's left.

Hi,

Yes, i've already requested users close their session. I even kill all user sessions by using DataStage Administrator.

Then only i issues the command ./uv -admin -stop

After the above command was executed i issue the below command

netstat | grep ds

there were 2 sessions which are close_wait

Please advice. Thank you.

Already have advised you - get an SA involved if ports have hung for any length of time, they can clear them. Normally, I see everything clear in 10 or 15 minutes unless you still have processes on those ports.

:? As noted, a SysAdmin or System Administrator. The Root Wielders. The people in charge of your UNIX servers.
