Are server jobs not supported in DataStage 8.0? I am confused because I have heard arguments on both sides.

Thanks for your time.....

What arguments? Of course they are supported.

Search the forum, where you will find definitive statements - one quoting Keith Kohl, worldwide head of DataStage - that server jobs will continue to be supported for the foreseeable future, meaning at least five years. Probably forever while ever DataStage is a product.

There was some FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) sown by IBM sales folk in the early days, when the future was unclear, but the post-sales technical folks were usually across it. We also note that commission on Enterprise Edition is substantially higher than on Server Edition.
