Currently we are moving the data from Teradata to Oracle to profile them through Info Sphere 9.1 .

Can we profile the data residing into Teradata database tables directly & how?

Yes you can. Set up a Connector (and ODBC Connector if you must) into the Teradata database, as you would for DataStage. You will need to have Teradata client software installed on the analysis engine.
