Hi All,

We are installing additional modules to IIS (IA/BG/FT). The setup we have is Domain and Repository in one server and Engine in other server.

The Issue from the logs we are getting is :

-----------------------------------------------------

FAILED: The DB2 installation directory /opt/IBM/db2/V9.7 must be empty.

Details:

FAILED: The DB2 installation directory /opt/IBM/db2/V9.7 must be empty.

Resolution: Delete the files in the DB2 installation directory /opt/IBM/db2/V9.7 or choose another empty directory.

FAILED: Ensure DB2 instance user db2inst3 home directory is empty and has more than 250 MB.

Details:

FAILED: Ensure DB2 instance user db2inst3 home directory is empty and has more than 250 MB.

Resolution: Move or delete the contents in db2inst3 to another location for the duration of the install. Increase the space allocated for the partition...

-----------------------------------------------

It doesnt make any sense. When initially installed datastage , db2 was installed.and db2inst3 is what used for xmeta db. Why was it again trying to install db2 ?

For Information Analyzer do we need to created database manually ?

Any body done incremental installation of IA on top of DS ?

Thank you.

I think you need to uncheck the option to install DB2 and let the installer know that you are using an existing instance of the database. It looks like it is trying to install DB2 for a second time.

Well there is no option to uncheck. Its a add on module installation to existing datastage server.

When you run the installer, does it go into "add components" rather than "new installation"?
