Automation of Information Analyzer Profiling

Post by pklcnu »

Dear Experts

Is it possible to automate the Information Analyzer profiling ?

For example like DataStage jobs scheduled and run at regular intervals, is it possible to have a similar set up for Information Alalyzer Profiling to produce the reports at regular intervals with out much manual intervention ?

I just want the new reports compared against base line analysis at regular intervals for monitoring purposes.

Is it possible, if yes how to do this ?

Many Thanks in advance

The profiling can be automated (through the iaJob command).

Dear Ray , thanks for your time and reply.

How does the iajob command looks like ?

We don't create jobs similar to datastage in IA , do we need to use the project name instead is it ?

Thanks very much

As far as I know, the Run/Submit interface allows for scheduling a job. Is that not sufficient for your needs?

Indeed it is. Any time you invoke the Run interface you get three choices - run now, create a "bundle" that the iaJob can deal with later, or invoke the Information Server scheduler for one-shot or regular schedule.
