Column Analysis doesnt show any sources to select

Post by manuel.gomez »

Hi there,

One newbie here with Information Analyzer

I am having problems with Column Analysis, let me explain you what happened in chronological order:

- I created two data sources, from to ODBC's to text files
- I imported metadata for these two data sources
- I entered in Column Analysis, and only one out of those two data sources were shown
- Trying to check what was happeing, I deleted the two data sources, and recreated and reimported all metadata

From that on, no sources are shown in Column Analysis tab. So no column analysis can be performed!!!
But I can perfectly see them in Import Metadata tab

Can anybody guide me on this?

All validations have been carried out:
In home->Analysis Settings
Analysis Engine -> Validate Settings
Analysis Database -> Validate Client Connection
Analysis Database -> Validate Engine Connection

You have to associate your Data Sources with the project and save all again.

1. Open your project.
2. Click on Overview, select Project Properties.
3. Click on Data Source tab.
4. Click on arrow tab for All Hosts.
5. Select your table.
6. Click Add.
7. Click Save All.

Jesus, how stupid I am!
I already did this a few days ago (this is why, in my first post, I said that I could spot one of my two data sources in this tab)
But completely forgot!!!

As said, totally newbie to IA :wink:

Resolved!!!
