Unable to create repository connection

Hi,

I installed ProfileStage on my laptop (windows): all components on 1 machine. For the repository i downloaded and installed SQL Server 2005 Express edition.

Using the MS SQL Server Management Studio Express tool I can see that the PSDB is created and that it contains tables.

After starting PS i first need to create a repository connection for my analysis server using Connection Manager. However, when clicking the appropriate button (Lightning) / double click on the analysis server, nothing is happening. The Edit Connection dialog box does not appear.

What am i doing wrong?

Have you created an ODBC DSN for your PSDB?

Yes, i created an ODBC system DSN called PSDB. From the ODBC adminiatror i can test the connection and it works ok.

When i start ProfileStage client this PSDB is the DSN i use to logon.

Awhile back (2007) you had a post saying you couldn't connect to the Repository. You later said it started working. Did you ever find out why it wasn't working to begin with
