Data Rule Definition like 'Date1 < Date2+Period'

Post by graja83 »

I have the requirement to define the rule definition like

Date1 < Date2 + Period

Date1- date datatype
Date2- date datatype
Period- decima data type

date1 values like:
1984-02-29
1981-07-15
1981-01-02
1976-08-26

date2 values like:
2023-02-28
2017-07-15
2018-01-02
2020-08-26

Period values like:
10.00
20.00

Please help me anybody have the idea on this.

What does "Period" mean? Does a "10" mean 10 days, 10 years, 10 months or something else?

Enterprise MVS Edition does not have an Information Analyzer equivalent.

I just realized that this was a IA question, not a normal DataStage job question. I should, but won't, redact my earlier post. Sorry.

Arnd's question is still relevant, assuming you really do have Information Analyzer. Without an answer to it, it's really impossibly to advise.

But it would be better to have the edition properly identified. It's not 390.
