Hi,
Can anyone let me know the steps to profile a flat file on PROFILE STAGE.
I would basically require information on
1. How to profile a flat file on Profile?
2. How to create a ODBC connection for flat files?
3. On Unix Server how do we create a connection for text file?
Any additional information will really help.
Thanks

Welcome aboard.
The correct forum for this post was "Information Analyzer (formerly Profile Stage)".
The suite of ODBC drivers has one for text files. Basically you create a DSN that uses that driver. You will need to make the parent directory one of the properties mentioned in the .odbc.ini file where you define your DSNs. Location of this file is usually stored in the environment variable $ODBCINI.
