Error Creating Data Sample

When trying to create a data sample in preparation for some multi-columns anlaysis I am receiving the following error in the Analyzer log:

AnalysisSessionImpl.java:155 Event 1: sample: Error occurred during initializeFromArgs(). Event 2: sample: Unrecognized argument: -totalmaxoutputrows Event 3: main_program: Creation of a step finished with status = FAILED. 

I was attmepting to create a sample with a sample size of 2000, method of Nth with interval 10. I did retain scripts and saw basically the same messages in the Director log

I have previously run column analysis on all 9 columns in the table.
