how to convert date object into datetime object

I need to convert date object to datetime
Hi ayush,
It would help to have more information to be able to even think of helping:
1. What is the database engine where you are pulling the date from?
2. What format does the target need to have for the insert/update/whatever?
3. Are you going to assign a default time portion that is being tacked on to the date field?
With that info, we might be able to help you more.
