ODBC setup on Unix

Looks like your .odbc.ini file (hidden file) is not pointing to the right spot, or your ODBCINI environment variable is interfering.

Leonie,

A couple of things I noticed:

1. you should rename odbc.ini to .odbc.ini
2. I would fill in the rest of parameters in uvodbc.config e.g.

DBMSTYPE = UNIVERSE
network = TCP/IP
service = uvserver
host = localhost


DBMSTYPE = ODBC
network = TCP/IP
service = SybaseService
host = SybaseHost



DBMSTYPE = ODBC
network = TCP/IP
service = dBaseService
host = dBaseHost
