Hello to everyone,

I need to extract data from DB2 database on MVS. Have someone experience about this matter? Could someone tell me if I can approach DB2 on MVS using the Serveur Engine and not the Code Generator? If yes, I need to have CAE or I can use ODBC without any other middleware?

Yes, you can certainly access a DB2 Database on MVS. You can do this through an ODBC Driver with a layer of Middleware.

There are many Middleware products available.

We are currently using NEON Shadow and also IBM DB2 Connect. Either of these work Fine through DataStage.
