Ingres ODBC connection

I am trying to get connected to Ingres via the ODBC driver supplied via DataStage. I have an .odbc.ini file with the following settings:
Driver=/app/datastage/P12/ds40/uv/../branded_odbc/lib/VMoing15.so
ServerName=kahiwi_l6
Database=lprod
Workarounds=1
However when I connect I get the following error. Ideas anyone?
DSR.MetaGeta(GET.TABLES)(SQLConnect(lprod,dsgprod)): BCI Error: SQLSTATE=S1000,CODE=-34000,[Ardent][SQL Client][ODBC][MERANT][ODBC INGRES driver][INGRES]E_US0002 User does not have permission to use one of the flags given.

I was thinking I may need to add a OPTS entry.
