Has anyone been developing/executing DataStage 4.x on a Sun server running Solaris 8 ? We plan to deploy on a Sun 280R in the next month.

Please confirm my advice with the Vendor.
We currently use DataStage 4.1.1. When we installed 10 months ago we did so under Solaris 8. We never got it to work and had to change back to Solaris 7. This was under Vendor advice as they said that the product was not certified Solaris 8.
They said that DataStage 5.x would be certified on Solaris 8.
