Exception raised in GCI subroutine:Access violation. VERSION

Post by admin »

Hi,

I have a problem with the following error message - Program "DSU.COMPARE.REC": Line 188, Exception raised in GCI subroutine: Access Violation.Attempting to Cleanup after ABORT raised in stage ARCOCCFILE.COMPARE DataStage Phantom Aborting with @ABORT.CODE = 3.

We had to reinstall our NT server therefore we loaded Datastage (version 4) as a new application. The datastage jobs ran fine before on version 4.

Does anyone out their know if we are maybe missing a dll or do we need to configure any other files so that this problem can be sorted out.

Your assistance is highly appreciated.

Regards
Doshian

Doshian,

I would look at the routine "COMPARE.REC" and count down around 188 lines from the top.

If I remember rightly even if you use Include statements on Routines the Line number is within 1 or 2 lines of where the problem happens.

In any case if you place a obvious compile error arround where you believe the problem to be it will report that line. ie replace a blank line with: This is an Error Line, anf then compile.

This might narrow the search.

Thanks Jack
