I have some exports of entire projects built in DS 3.6. When I tried to import those into DS 4.02, everything appears to import correctly. . However upon opening DSDesigner, I get the following error message: "The version of this jobs design time information is incompatible with the current version of DataStage"
Shouldnt you be able to import any dsx into later versions of DataStage? If not, other than upgrading the existing 3.6 server to 4.0, how can you move DataStage components from a 3.6 server to a different 4.0 server?

Import of 3.6 dsx yields errors
Did you upgrade the client as well. I had a similar message when upgrading from 4.0 to 4.0.2. The 4.0 client appeared to work with 4.0.2 apart from when I got a message similar to yours. Once I upgraded the client, the messages went away.

Yes both the server and the client are both running 4.02. I am trying to import a dsx from 3.6 and get the error message. The jobs appear in Director, but can not be opened in Designer.
