Currently we are running Universe 9.4.1.1 on an IBM RS/6000 39h.
We are going to be switching to an IBM RS/6000 F50 which will be running Universe 9.5.1.1D.
I noticed that /uv/catdir is a Type 1 file (.Type1 is present).
Question #1: Does the /uv/catdir directory have to be a Type 1?
While in the process of moving data from the 39h to the F50, I copied via tape the /uv directory from the 39h to the F50 and then used the Universe 9.5.1.1 cd to update Universe on the F50.
We are still doing live production work on the 39h, ie cataloging subroutines, etc. Since I do not want to copy the /uv directory from the 39h to the F50 again, (Universe release would change back to 9.4.1.1),
Question #2: What is the best way to get the 9.4.1.1 catalog
to the 9.5.1.1 catalog area without wiping out anything which
may have changed from 9.4.1.1 to 9.5.1?
TIA,
