Oh, I remember. They threw what was probably the most lavish vendor party ever held at the Spectrum show when they debuted. The crustacean index was off the charts.

Whats more interesting to me about this potential alliance is that Fujitsu was one of the original funders of Amdahl when that company was formed to compete with IBM in the mainframe market. Fujitsu eventually acquired *all* of Amdahl a few years ago. Its now a wholly owned subsidiary.
