10g Upgrade

Gurus,

We are using DS version 7.1 and many of our jobs are using Oracle OCI 9i stage to insert/ fetch data from Oracle 9i. We are having the upgrade of our DB to 10g and was wondering that would it impact our jobs as we do not have the 10g stage or 9i stage will work fine with 10g database or need to change the jobs with RDBMS stage.

There is no 10g stage. Continue with the 9i stage just keep using the 9i Oracle 32bit client and you're fine.

When there is a stage upgrade IBM-Ascential usually provide an upgrade tool. When the Oracle pluging was upgrade from Oracle 8 support to Oracle 9 support they provided a routine that upgraded jobs. The current plugin you are using covers Oracle 9 and 10 and there have been no new releases of the plugin.

Make sure you are pointing to the right ORACLE_HOME, PATH which includes Libary PATH after migration.

Thanks ..where I need to check this on Ascential box in .profile or ...?
