Connection Problem

Connection Problem

Hi

i have installed datastage on my PC.when i tried to conenct to the administrator ,it is giving error like unable to connect to host,invalid host name....
i have supplied the correct hostname ,username and password..
what could be the problem.....

Anil, have you tried using the IP address? Please give the exact error message you are getting, it will help narrow down the problem.

Also, can you ping the hostname or ip address from you Windows client using the DOS window?

Are you running on Windows XP? It may be that the machine needs to have its network card active - that is, the machine must be participating in a network.
