compilation error

compilation error

Precision of Char column lkey must be greater than 0.

(BUSINESSATTCOMPOSTAVATAR.mergefiles.iplkey)


This is the error from a transformer named mergefiles.

can any one please explain me what does the error mean.

You've defined a column and didn't specify a size.

some how iam not able to see the column lengths tab in the transformer,

normally we see column name all the other details for that particular

link in the transformer.

could please how i have to reset the settings.

Not sure how you wouldn't be able to see that... perhaps that bottom panel is slid 'all the way down'? :?

Regardless, you should be able to make the change from stages on either end of the transformer.

i came all way down still i donot see , from the inputs stage and output is again a transformer.

so idonot understand why it is so iam not able to see the length of the particular field.

can please give any clue

:? No idea what you are seeing. Can you check this post for a way to post a picture of the insides of your transformer? Look near the bottom of the first page for talk about places like ImageShack and you'll see it is very easy to accomplish. Then maybe we'd be able to help.

At worst case you may need to delete all of the associated Registry keys from your PC and have everything reset back to factory defaults.

There should be a source stage somewhere in your job before the transformers. Anyways why don't you try in some other client machine? (if you couldn't pull up the frame back into view that is) :)

Thank you very much craig , i set all right , now iam able to see all the
tabs below the mapping, the screen was made small so when i was going down still iam not able to view , but now dragged the bottom line of the
window down and now it is all right.
