UV Stage 'User is not an SQL user'

Not sure if I should post this in the Server forum or Testimonial section, but thought I'd stick it here in case anyone else had a similar problem.

We had an issue with the Universe (UV) Stage where a User could not create or drop a table - the error message being '[DataStage][SQL Client][UNIVERSE]DataStage/SQL: "UserXXX" is not an SQL user.'

We figured it was a privileges issue but didn't know what until we read the following post from way in 2002:

We needed to log-in to Administrator and 'GRANT CONNECT TO " our User.

Appalling grammar in the error message though!
