Error Code 256

Hello,

Where can I get a consolidated list of error codes and description that Datastage generates?

eg. error code 256 for data mismatch

I think that this kind of codes are comming from your DB.

I do not think so. I do not use any DB. its flat file to flat file.

I don't know of a comprehensive, published, and supported list of all error codes possible. There's server side and GUI error codes, is there one in particular we can help decipher?

The server side error codes. for Datastage server jobs

eg 530 Login incorrect.
256 I think its for incorrect file format, I mean no. of columns in the source stage and in the source file were different.

Main sources of error codes are the hashed file SYS.MESSAGE (for the Engine) and the PDF manuals (for example for InterCall, the underlying architecture used by connected clients).

I am fairly confident that there is no consolidated list of error codes generated by DataStage itself, as the OP requested.
