In other words - just write to it.
Hashed files are "destructive overwrite", meaning that when multiple records are written with the same key into the hashed file, each completely replaces the previous version. Therefore, last one in wins.
That should also lead you to understand that there is no way to update individual fields - you must replace the entire record.
