Hello,

I need to know whether DataStage provides any built-in Configuration Management and Version Controlling features? Is so, I need the information on the same.

Or please let me know where else can I find info on it (like pdfs, URLs etc).

Thanks in advance...

Cheers,
Mohan

Kumar has answered the Version Control part of your question.

DataStage configuration management configures only its own environment and consists of a few configuration files that you edit. In some cases you need to run a utility to give effect to the changes, for example uvregen after changing uvconfig. In most cases you need to restart DataStage for the changes to take effect.

Apart from that DataStage does not include any configuration management utilities; it is merely an application that uses the existing resources.

In Enterprise Edition (parallel jobs) execution configuration (number of processing nodes and the resources associated with each) can be varied in a configuration file, or by using different configuration files for different runs. However, there is no such utility for server jobs or mainframe jobs though, in the latter, you could change resource allocation by editing the JCL.
