Nag,

As far as my knowledge goes, we cannot rename a project. We can only ADD or DELETE projects using the DS administrator.

Simplest will be to create a new project and transfer the codes.

Otherwise you may have to modify VOC entires and needs experience.

In other words, what people are saying is 'no'.

The answer is definitely no.

The primary reason is that the project name is also a schema name, and there is no way available to change a schema name in "UniVerse" SQL.

I have the same situvation

Hello every one,
We have the same situvation. We have a project in production. We want to make some changes to the production, so i exported the whole project to Devolopment area. After changes i want to export back to producation.

The isuue is can i have a different name to the one i made changes in the producation? I see no such options in manager.
Thanks in advance,
Via

Thanks,
But how to export to that particular new project? By default it is taking the same name that it took to make .dsx file :?
Thanks again

Export components instead of whole project. Then import these components in new project.

Doesn't matter what project an export from made from. You can take a full export from any project and import it into any other project, regardless of the project name on either end of the process.

The answer about renaming a project remains "no".

Right... so you:

1) Create new project
2) Export everything from old project
3) Import into new project
4) Delete old project

You may want to wait for a day or two after step 3 before doing step 4.
