When I pull a job activity stage into the job sequence, the GUI has a exclaimation mark in it. But everything looks good, I can edit the properties....
Any suggestions.

Exclaimation mark is an indication of missing data, check if all the parameters are defined and assigned a value, check the links and all the related information

One of the required properties, somewhere in the Activity, is missing.
Or an expression is not syntactically correct. It should be highlighed in red either way. Find it and fix it.

Hi,
Better yet point your mouse on the exclamation mark and.... presto !!!!
you'll see the reason apear before you !!!
It is one of the cool things in this product ;)

you should get a list of all the things not handled in order for this activity to work.
