what is the limit of the hash file?

what is the limit of the hash file?

Hi All,


I would like to know , the limit of hash file is it 2 gig or can it be more than 2 gig.

ur help would be greatly appreciated.

64 bit hashed files can cross the 2 Gig barrier.

whether iam using 64 bit or 32 bit hash files , where can i check that?

If you don't know, you're using 32-bit hashed files.

You would have had to create 64-bit hashed files explicitly to have them, or have the configuration parameter 64BIT_FILES set (not recommended).

what is the procedure to create the 64 Bit hashded file.
I have tried alot to search the process but not able to
find out .

Use Hashed File Calculator. Choose the 64-bit option. Use the command that it generates.
