Director error

Hi All,
I am getting following error when i try to connect to Datastage Director.
(The connection was refused or the RPC daemon is not running (81016)
Can explain me how to resolve it

The problem is the required services are not running.

Could also be a firewall blocking port number 31538.

rpc services are running and I am able to run dsapi_server. I am getting error when trying to run dsapi_slave.

As Ray mentioned, can you check the client firewall settings!!. And disable the firewall settings for few minutes, and try connecting to DataStage. Sometimes client firewall would block you running few application.
