SmallDateTime in MS SERVER

Post by snassimr »

Hi , I pass to MS SERVER smalldate time in format yyyy-mm-dd
but i get error :

[DataStage][SQL Client][ODBC][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The conversion of char data type to smalldatetime data type resulted in an out-of-range smalldatetime value.

yyyy-mm-dd is the format for SQL.SMALLDATETIME in DS . Its true ?

Thanks

Hi,
SmallDateTime of MS SQL server is a TimeStamp field with limited range.
So read in the docs for exact lower/upper limits for that type in the MSSQLServer docs to see it you exceeded them.
