Differnce betn using Omit option and normal login method

Post by Andal »

Hi All,

I want to know the difference betn two login methods,

By entering User name and Password (1st Method)
By checking omit we can login without using username and password (2nd method)

If we use the second option what is the default username and password it will take?

why at some cases while importing , exporting if we use 2nd method it is giving error?

can u give some explanation on this?

If you are connecting to the server via LAN Manager, you can
select the Omit check box. The User name and Password fields
gray out and you log on to the server using your Windows NT
Domain account details.

Omit is mainly for a Windows server where you are both DataStage server and client.
