is it possible to export jobs made with DS into some code (i.e. C++,VB ....) and then run them without having DS installed??
I suppose that is impossible
but I want to make myself sure.

it is impossible.you can export the jobs in dsx and xml format only

Why do you want to do that? If you need such an alternative, go for DS/390. It will give you COBOL code.

You need not have a MF to generate code from DS/390. It will work in normal Windows itself.
