Use of Complex Flat File

Hi,

I have some questions about CFF plug-in:

1. This plug-in is used to read data extracted from IBM mainframe.
Is it also possible to read data from BS2000 Siemens Mainframe ?

2. Access of the CFF.
One of the properties of the plug-in is the path.
Can i conclude that the file should be present in the file system of the datastage server (via ftp, export, ...).
This file can't be directly accessed on the mainframe ?

Yes the file should be present in .dat or any other format on the DS file directory.
