from sequential file i want a value and set as job parameter. ???????

Hi,
I believe it was already covered (use search).
in short it can be done.
I use this logic to get my parameters table and pass them along to the job at hand.
search for things like openseq, readseq and look in your basic.pdf file in your client install dircetory under docs.
in case there is only 1 value in the file or it is small you might also acomplish the same setting the user status of the job and in a sequence use it as the next job's parameter value.
