Hi All,
I'm working with remote clients and the network connection to the DS Server some times get severed.
I was wondering if anyone can guide me in steps to configure a 'keep alive' on the relevant processes to avoid cient dissconnection if the network brake down was a short period (lets say 5 seconds tops).
a search here poped up 4/5 posts, none of which had a detailed enough info.
P.S.
I'm using EE, but I'm not sure it is relevant
Thanks in advance,

Well a network disconnect is the issue and unfortunately your not going to keep Unix processes (which is what is being spawned in DataSstage) connected....Actually you probably end-up with locked Jobs and so on....I think fixing the reliability of the connection is your only option....maybe others have better ideas but have been their and done that....good luck
Use Remote Desktop Computing or Citrix or some solution that lets you "steer" a PC from afar, where the PC is within a more stable network.
Other than that, make sure you save your job changes often.
