Ascential user roles and privileges

We are setting up the Ascential server. We have configured 3 NT groups:

Ascential Designers
Ascential Administrators
Ascential Operators

Within Ascential we have assigned each one of this 3 groups to the corresponding Ascential roles.

We have the following security issue: only local administrators can login to Ascential, all other users get an "invalid user name and/or password" message. If a user is not an administrator of his local system he is not able to connect to the Ascential server. He gets the following error message: "invalid user name and/or password".

Please advice.

Are your users assigned to one of the three groups? Have you assigned the groups to the correct roles within Administrator?

The users with which we are facing the issue have been assigned to Ascential Designer group.

Did you assign the "Ascential Designer" group the "DataStage Developer" role in DataStage Administrator? Look on the permissions tab.
