How do you connect to Sql Server 2000 through ODBC

Post by larryoceanview »

I searched the forum but did not find a comprensive list on how to accomplish this.

Can anyone point me to the appropriate place or direction.

I am pretty much just looking for the .odbc.ini entry. If there is anything
else I need besides the uvodbc.config entry let me know.

Is there a stage that can connect automatically like the oracle oci.

I am trying to extract data from an access database which is set-up
as a linked server.

Is there a master index for ascentials documentation or do I have to open every PDF and do an individual search?

Thanks,

Did you find this thread?

On the subject of searching pdfs, Acrobat has the ability to search through more than one pdf at a time. There is an option to 'Search all PDF documents in the following folder', all you need to do it point it to where your DataStage documentation is and you should be set. This is in Acrobat Reader 6.x, btw.

Thanks,

That is exactly what I was looking for but I couldn't find it quickly.
The amount of data on this forum has grown so much that there was about 6 -7 hundred posts on Sql Server.

Great tip on acrobat. A work around for lack of a master index.
