You're probably going to need to get into DS.TOOLS from the command line and check the integrity of your repository. If you've never done it before or don't know what it is, it can be a little intimidating. Do you have a support provider you can call? Someone who can walk you through this or help diagnose the issue?

Also, out of curiousity do you get the same error when - regardless of Category or Individual - you tell it to export the 'Whole Project'?

I vaguely recall that was a known problem with some 5.x releases. Contact your support provider to follow it up with Ascential.

Might even be worth a search here, particularly in the Oliver archive.

Hi,
just wanted to point out you can do this via the DS administrator,
simply perform the cleanup project option.
check there are no connections to the DS server while performing this.

Hi Ray ,

I am taking export backup from DataStage Manager . not from DS.TOOLS.

Don't tell me, tell Craig! His suggestion is based on the notion that your Repository indexing may have become incorrect; there is an option in the DS.TOOLS menu for repairing those indexes.

Have you chased this alleged "known issue" through support yet?

Is it not a notion worth pursuing?

As Ray mentioned, we all know where you are doing your export from - these are suggestions on places to go and things to try to help solve your problem. The biggest question at this point remains - have you called Support?
