Pivot Stage

How to define output columns in 'DERIVATION' of PIVOT stage...I have 8 columns..I want to convert in to rows ..How to do this...????
Any one help in this issue..????

This is splendidly explained in the manual for the Pivot stage (pivot.pdf).
