Creating Hierarchical Flat Files using DS6.0 ?

Hello Everyone,

Can anyone tell me What is Hirerarchical Flat file ? and How to create a hirarchical flat file in DS 6?

If you don't know what a hierarchical flat file is, why do you want to create one?

It's not the kind of thing an ETL process would produce. Sometimes, though, it's necessary for an ETL process to be able to extract data from a hierarchical format in a file (which is what a hierarchical flat file is) so that those data can be processed into the desired target format.

Hierarchical flat files are much more common in the mainframe environment (and therefore in files derived from these systems), so are not often the domain of server jobs, which your post indicates that you are using.

Reading should be using CFF stage.
