Data Stage Director very slow in refreshing

I work in a DataWareHouse project, our DS Project has almost 1000 jobs and the refreshing time is becoming very very slow, sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes to open and almost the same to refresh.
Do anyone of you experienced the same problem?
Do anyone know a way to make the Director refreshh faster?
